Teaching kids is completely different than teaching adults. Professor Cruz breaks movements down into kid-size chunks. I also appreciate the techniques he recommends for the different belt levels. Sometimes it’s difficult to determine which techniques to teach to each age group, and he takes away all the mystery. I bought this set about a year ago and I love it…. I run a small jiu jitsu school in Spring Branch, TX, and I teach kids from 5 years to teens. I have used this video to supplement my kids classes. This is an excellent series for instructing, teaching, and coaching kids in Brazilian Jiujitsu. Teaching kids is definitely much different than teaching adults and this series helps understand how to do it effectively. I appreciate the good fundamentals and technique that Professor Joao Crus shows, but also the games and drills that are shown to make the learning process fun for the kids. I ordered this bjj curriculum set as well as the 101 BJJ Games and Drills set. I highly recommend this series to anyone whether you have a martial arts school or simply want to show your children at home.
